The Herb Pharm family has grown slowly over the years, from just a few helpers to a staff of 70 employees today. We are proud of the fact that many of our employees have been here over 10 years, several over 20. We take the same pride in working with our employees that we have always taken in working with the herbs. New employees are welcomed onto the Team, and given considerable opportunity for cross training so that they can begin to develop their own career paths within the company. New full time position available in our world-class production plant. Put your budding herbal knowledge and passion to work in this job where you will learn all aspects of the manufacture of herbal extracts. You will be primarily responsible for assisting in the processing of herbal extracts by performing various operations such as; milling, blending macerate, stirring, pressing, filtering and ensuring that the work environment meets all cleanliness and safety standards. Ours is a productive team environment, requiring that duties be performed with a positive & cooperative attitude at all times, thereby contributing to the overall successful operation and growth of the organization.
Herb Pharm’s Landscapers are part of a team responsible for maintaining the herbal display gardens throughout our various properties. They work under the direction of the Lead Landscape Gardener, mowing, blowing, trimming, pruning, irrigating, transplanting and generally keeping the landscaped areas in optimal condition. They may work with small crews of our Student Interns, explaining proper landscaping techniques with the students as they work together. A commitment to learning and the continuous improvement of our landscapes is essential.
We seek hands-on experience with at least three of the following: landscaping with herbs, equipment use & maintenance, planting, weeding, propagation, irrigation and soil development. Familiarity with organic landscaping practices will be helpful. Our Landscapers must also be strong advocates for safety; i.e. an understanding of body mechanics, tool and equipment use, proper use of various organic fertilizers and pest management techniques among other issues.
If you have both landscaping experience and a passion for sharing your knowledge with others, this may be the job for you. Minimum requirements include a good basic understanding of landscaping techniques as they apply to both annual and perennial plants plus well developed communication and organizational skills. This requires at least one full season of landscaping experience. HS diploma required, a degree in Horticulture or a related field will be helpful, but is not essential.

Label Compliance Specialist/Proofreader
Put your significant proofreading and attention to detail to work as our specialist in the editing and modification of product labels. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will be in charge of ultimately ensuring the absolute accuracy and appearance of our nearly 300 herbal healthcare products with over 700 individual labels. Your keen eye for detail, passion for accuracy and attention to work flow and procedures will ensure your success. You will quickly come to understand how regulatory considerations dictate the way we package and sell our products and will consistently apply that knowledge to each and every project. Junior Graphic Designer
We are actively seeking a highly motivated, energetic Entry Level Graphic Designer with the ability to produce high-quality labels, packaging concepts, price lists and other print materials to join our Marketing Team. The ideal candidate would have the opportunity to learn about designing and rendering product labels and packaging design. This is a full time position. We are not considering sub-contractor or freelance engagements.
This position requires a highly organized, responsible, detail-oriented team player that has the ability to juggle multiple priorities and work under strict deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an AA in Graphic Arts plus 1-year experience as a Graphic Designer. He/She will have basic working knowledge of design and the print production processes, with experience using digital illustration and layout software and standard business software including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. QuarkXPress, Acrobat, MS Word and Excel. Proficiency with the Mac-based Adobe Creative Suite is mandatory.
Additionally we require very strong attention to detail, excellent knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proficiency using standard proofreading marks & symbols. The ability to use discretion with sensitive and confidential information, and the ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment, individually and collaboratively with others is also required.
