Ask an Herbalist: What herbs can kids take?
We love talking about herbs and herbalism, and we especially love answering your questions about those topics. That's why we brought in our team of herbal experts to respond to some of the most common questions and concerns we hear.
Our herbalists have decades of combined experience working with herbs — and the people who take them. They answer your most pressing questions, in our regular column “Ask an Herbalist.”
What herbs can kids take?
Many herbs are appropriate for use with kids, under supervision of an adult. If you don’t know where to start, we have a line of 12 products, each formulated just for kids, with use instructions on each bottle.
The serving sizes on our Kids products are based on body weight. The entire line was formulated to taste good, too. They are alcohol-free†, and we used naturally sweet glycerin to extract the herbs’ constituents.
When it comes to herbs beyond those in our Kids line, recommendations for use with children can vary. The main differences are generally the serving size amount and the appropriate minimum age for using an herb.
If you have a specific product in mind, please contact our customer service team at 1-800-348-4372 or email@example.com for the age guidelines and suggested use for children.

†A small amount of alcohol is included our Kids Throat TLC™ to keep the sprayer working optimally.
