What are tonic herbs and how do you use them? What are the benefits?*
Tonic herbs are ones that are used to build and tonify various organs and systems. They are usually gentle
and slower acting. These herbs should be taken on a regular, daily basis for an extended period to slowly
restore your system. Depending on the herb, the person, and the desired effect, many tonic herbs may be
taken for two months or more. Because tonic herbs are system builders taken over time, many people might not
feel the desired effect immediately. One benefit of tonic herbs is they gently nudge your body towards
better well-being, rather than a faster, immediate change. As most realize when deciding to make their
health a priority, change doesn't happen overnight and consistency is key! Some of our favorite tonic herbs
are Maca, Stinging Nettle, Turmeric, Oat Seed,
and Skullcap.*
