Hocus Pocus Focus Party Punch with Holy Basil
Raise a glass to a rockin’ Halloween party with this spooky recipe. You’re sure to give friends and family a delightful fright when they see this punch features a Cranberry “bloody hand” as the ultimate centerpiece. And the best part is that with every sip, you’ll be treating yourself to the adaptogenic power of Holy Basil liquid herbal extract. Just the thing to help scare the stress away!*
Ingredients
Serves 6 (8 oz Servings)
Hand Garnish
~1 3/4 cups Cranberry juice, unsweetened
1 food safe, disposable glove
Punch
3 cups Pear juice, unsweetened
3 cups Pineapple juice, unsweetened
1 tbsp fresh Lime juice
6 dropperfuls of (0.7 ml each) Herb Pharm Holy Basil liquid herbal extract†
Optional Garnishes
Handful of fresh Cranberries
Fresh Blood Orange, sliced into wheels, then halved or quartered
Reusable, food safe spooky floating eyeballs or spiders
Equipment
1 punch bowl with a wide opening
1 ladle
"Hand" Garnish Instructions
- The day before your party, fill the glove with Cranberry juice, leaving room to tie the opening securely.
- Twist the end and tie it like a balloon and then place in the freezer overnight in a flat horizontal position.
Instructions
- The day of your party, combine the Pear juice, Pineapple juice, and Lime juice in a medium-large punch bowl and stir.
- When ready to serve, add the Holy Basil extract and lightly stir.
- Remove the glove from the freezer and gently cut the glove mold from the ice.
- Float the ice hand in the punch bowl and sprinkle your optional garnishes around it.
- Add a ladle and place glasses nearby.
- Serve to your ghoulish friends, sip, and enjoy!
Tips:
- This recipe can be scaled up for a larger punch bowl and bigger party with a 1:1 ratio of juices!
- The Lime juice would be ½ tsp per cup of liquid.
- Add 1 dropperful of Holy Basil extract per 4-8 oz serving, depending on your serving glass size.
- A regular Orange can be substituted for the Blood Orange garnish.
- As the Cranberry ice hand melts into the yellow-orange base, it will create a spooky “bleeding” effect.
- If you like, add in an optional 3 tsp Maple syrup or sweetener of your choice. Scale up at ½ tsp per cup of liquid.
