Kava Nog

Make a toast to relaxing winter evenings with a festive glass of Kava Nog. And since everything is better when shared, this recipe serves 2! So go ahead, invite a friend over to delight in the relaxing, stress-reducing qualities of Kava.*


Serves 2

1.5 cups whole, Oat or Coconut milk

1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk, Coconut or Oat versions

1 tsp Vanilla extract

½ tsp Cinnamon, powdered

ÂĽ tsp Nutmeg, powdered, plus extra for garnish

½ tbsp Arrowroot powder

0.7 ml Herb Pharm Kava liquid herbal extract†

Optional: Whipped cream or whipped topping


  1. Add milk, condensed milk, Vanilla, Cinnamon and Nutmeg to a blender or whisk and mix until combined.
  2. Transfer the liquid to a saucepan and heat on medium-high until just before boiling.
  3. Reduce heat to low, add Arrowroot powder and whisk until the mixture slightly thickens, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let sit until cool.
  5. Pour into two small glasses and chill for 1 to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  6. Add 1 serving of Kava extract to each glass and stir.
  7. Garnish with a sprinkle of Nutmeg.
  8. Sip and enjoy!

Pro Tips:

  • If making the recipe dairy-free, use boxed Oat milk from the grocery shelves or canned Coconut Milk, as these are thicker than the ones found in the refrigerated section.
  • To make this mocktail a decadent treat, add a dollop of whipped cream (before sprinkling on the Nutmeg and after stirring in the Kava).
