Peppermint Pest Spray
Tell pests to scram with the power of Peppermint. This DIY spray is a plant-based alternative to chemical sprays and is great at keeping unwanted critters out of your home. Just remember to reapply frequently!
Supplies
1 cup water
10-20 drops Peppermint essential oil
1 tsp liquid dish soap
Instructions
- Fill a spray bottle with water.
- Add the Peppermint essential oil and liquid soap.
- Shake well to combine.
Important Tips:
- If spraying on fabric, test on a small inconspicuous area first.
- Reapply regularly: Peppermint spray may need to be reapplied frequently, especially when the scent fades.
- Target entry points: Focus on spraying around doorways, windowsills, and other potential bug entry points.
- To enhance your spray, add other insect-repelling essential oils like Citronella, Lemongrass, and Eucalyptus. Divide the total 10-20 drops into equal amounts depending on how many essential oils you choose.
