Power to the Plant People: Celebrating 47 Years

If you've ever seen a little sprig of green sprouting up from a crack in the sidewalk, you know that plants can grow almost anywhere. Nature is kind of amazing in that way! Anyone can grow herbs and mushrooms (and actually, we really want you to - see our Gardening blogs!). But when you hold an Herb Pharm bottle in your hands, and take one of our tinctures or capsules, you can sense it. Herb Pharm is a little different.

We believe that difference partly comes from the people of Herb Pharm. When we look back at the last 47 years, and dream about the future, we're reminded that it's not just the resiliency of Nature that makes us who we are. It's the people who are willing to stop and listen to what Nature has to say. Every day. Even when we're busy.

It's the Pharmers who thought, “Certified Organic is great. But Regenerative Organic Certified® is better.” It's curious, thoughtful herbalists who look at the world and ask, “What do people need right now?” It's Pharmers in white lab coats who check, and triple-check, that every herb is what we think it is. It's care that's taken when no one is watching. It's intention at every step. It's the Herb Pharm way, and in honor of our 47th birthday, we're taking a moment to thank our co-founders, Sarah Katz and Ed Smith, who created this beautiful company and culture, and all of the Pharmers of past and present who have picked up the torch of this legacy and carried it just a little further.

Great Herbs Plus Amazing People

To celebrate our birthday, we're passing the proverbial mic to our fellow Pharmers to share what they love about Herb Pharm: the plants, the process, nerding out on herbs, and the work they do every day!

all the way to the end consumer. There is such transparency and trust. Herb Pharm is a rare example of a company doing good even if it takes the longer path. the potency, the care, and intention each employee brings to their work, and the commitment to sharing herbal education with the world. Herb Pharm is a company that shows up for both people and the planet, and I'm constantly inspired by the passion and purpose of the people I get to work alongside every day in making that happen.”

Next Season Starts Now

As we go into our next year, we know the future is in good hands because it's in our hands! You know where to find us, whether it's on our Regenerative Organic Certified® farms, hosting events in our Botanical Education Garden, leading the next generation of Herbaculture Interns, offering samples at your local natural food store, or sharing herbal wisdom on social media. We're proud to be the Herb Pharm you know and love, and are excited to share even more exciting things with you this year – like new products, new formats, and all of the herbal insights we can gather along the way. Cheers to 47 years!
